What is PR HAN?

PR HAN: Puerto Rico Health Alert Network

The Puerto Rico Health Alert Network (PR HAN) system is a secure, internet-based, emergency alert notification system. When emergencies such as disease outbreaks, bioterrorism, natural disasters, or large-scale accidents occur, the PR HAN system is used to notify participating responders and emergency preparedness teams.

Who is required to have an PR HAN account?

All personnel of the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (OPHPR) are required to have an PR HAN account in order to receive critical information regarding emergencies and need to know information that could include public health alerts, advisories and updates.

Designated staff members of other agencies and healthcare partners who work in conjunction with OPHPR and participate in emergency response to disasters or public health emergencies, planned emergency preparedness drills, exercises, and training may have accounts as well.

How do I get an PR HAN account?

An PR HAN account will be created for you. A welcome email will be sent from PR HAN to you when your account has been created.

Once you have received your username and password, you will be able to log in to your account and update your information.
